Day 1 : Transfer to Gangtok

On arrival at Bagdogra Airport/New Jalpaiguri railway station, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Gangtok. Get ready for some rejuvenating time with your family in the blended experience of astounding nature and charming Himalayan people.

Your Gangtok & Darjeeling family tour package begins at this little hill town that’ll mesmerise you with its splendid views of the lush tea gardens and the snow-capped Himalayan peaks. As you reach your hotel, check in and rest for the day. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 : Excursion to Gangtok: Tsomgo Lake & Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial

Wake up early to enjoy a beautiful hilly morning and have a delightful breakfast. On the last day of your Gangtok and Darjeeling family tour package, visit the beautiful Tsomgo Lake and the famous Baba Mandir.

Get ready to begin your excursion tour of top Gangtok attractions. Perched at a height of 12,400 feet, the enchanting Tsomgo lake is the most visited tourist attraction on your Gangtok family tour package itinerary.

Further, visit the Baba Harbhajan Mandir, one of the most sought after tourist attraction on your sightseeing tour itinerary. By late evening, reach your hotel in Gangtok and sleep off the night with wonderful memories of the day.

Day 3 : Gangtok Half-day Local Sightseeing and Transfer to Darjeeling

Savor a hearty breakfast in the morning, go on a half-day local sightseeing tour of Gangtok. There are various places to visit in Gangtok that welcomes people from all walks of life.

Start your Gangtok sightseeing tour with a visit to the Do Drul Chorten -- the biggest stupa in Sikkim and Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sunday) which has an impressive collection of Tibetan artifacts and ancient manuscripts. Shop for souvenirs at the Institute of Handicrafts and Handlooms (closed on Sunday) and Mall Road. 

After sightseeing transfer to Darjeeling. Night stayat your hotel room in Darjeeling.

Day 4 : Darjeeling Sightseeing

Wake up at dawn and head for Tiger Hill to watch the world’s third highest peak - the Kanchendzonga, turn from pink to gold as the sun rises over the mountain range. While returning, stop by at the 135-year-old Ghoom Monastery & the Batasia Loop War Memorial, built in the memory of martyred Gorkha soldiers. Enjoy a cup of piping hot Darjeeling tea at one of the tea stalls. Come back to your hotel for breakfast and rest for a while.

Later, visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Thursday closed). Take your kids to visit the Padmaja N. Zoological Garden (Thursday closed) and the Tibetan Refugee Centre (Sunday closed) for an amazing experience.

Rummage through souvenirs at the market in Mall Road and buy lovely trinkets. Return to your hotel late in the evening for dinner and stay overnight.

Day 5 : Departure

Option 1:

Transfer from Darjeeling to New Jalpaiguri Railway station via visit at Mirik Lake, Pashupati market (Nepal border) and Shimana.

 

Option 2:

Transfer from Darjeeling to Bagdogra airport to end your trip.

Cancellation Policy


Booking & Canvellation Policy

Your contract is with Bhutan Packages. A contract exists between us when we have confirmed you on our tour / hotel booking / or any other travel related services of your choice and we have received your booking request and deposits. All correspondence/s in respect of Tours / Travel Service bookings should be addressed to Bhutan Packages.

Payments

For the services contracted, 40 % advance payment should be made to hold the booking on a confirmed basis and the balance amount should be paid before commencement of your tour. We hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as an advance payment, based on the nature of services and the time left for the commencement of the services.

Payment Options

Payment can be made by Bank Transfer, Cash payment to our office or by Demand Draft / Cheque. All payments should be free and clear of any withholding tax and deduction. Bank charges, if any, for remittance (by remitting bank or by intermediary bank) would be strictly borne by payer.

Rights to amend the itinerary if required

Tour once commenced will strictly go as per the itinerary finalised. In case of events and circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to change all or parts of the contents of the itinerary for safety and well being of our esteemed passengers.

Policy Regarding Cancellation / No Show / Early Departure

In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows:

Please note – Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs – in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us – a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.

In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.

Refund

In regard to refund of unused / unutilized services (which are paid for and cancelled in advance) the refund amount would be worked out on the basis of cancellation policy as described above and the money would be accordingly refunded to the person who has made the payment to us. Please note that the refund process may take 2 – 4 weeks due to banking procedures. If the refund is made to the credit card account OR to Bank account, the bank charges would be debited from the refund amount.
